Hello Everyone,

Winter Break - Dec. 21-Jan. 1.2018  There is NO  CC CAMP during the major holidays.

Session 4 will commence on Jan. 2. - Feb. 23, 2018. with an In-service Day Camp on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018.

The National Life Group will feature Ms. Diadel Ortiz from Union Elementary School, as a Life Changer of the Year nominee.View the  full nomination here:

It is starting to finally feel like Autumn.
We are doing some wonderful things at Community Connections.
From Kindergarten Creation to the 4th grade group, great start to a great CC year.
Group Leaders are sending their group updates and emails directly to you. Please check that out.

We are on session 2 which runs from Oct.2- Nov.21, 2017. 
Session 3 will start on Nov.27-Dec.21, 2017 ( New CC Schedule coming soon)

We are still on a waiting list.

Community Connections @ UES

Session 2 has started at Union-CC (Oct. 2 - Nov. 21, 2017)
We have some great programs schedules for groups K-4th grade. Check with your child's CC leader for details.
Spanish, Signing and Mindfulness will begin on the week of October 16, 2017.

Good Evening Everyone,
Tomorrow is the first day of Community Connections After-school Program at UES
for 1st grade -4th. We are so excited to welcome all the children new and old to Community Connections.

When you pick up your child and come through the main doors of the school, you will walk straight to the door by the main office. On the wall, you will see the group schedule. There you will find the times and location of each group. Please make sure you sign your child out of the program.

I am available during school hours if you have any changes in schedule or you have questions. Contact me by phone or email. I am looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow.

Community Connection Start up

Hello Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer vacation and are almost ready to start school again. Our first day of Community Connections at Union Elementary will begin on August 30, 2017. Parents and Guardians will receive an email confirmation with space availability.

If you are interested in Community Connections after-school program, you will need to fill out a complete registration form packet. You can find the packet in the main office at school. Just ask for a Community Connection Parent Handbook.

End of the year Letter to parents

Dear Parent /Guardians,

As the CC school year comes to a close I want to take a moment to say thanks.

Thank you for sharing your pride and joy with us.  We have done our best to keep your child safe and happy this year. We have enjoyed all the hugs, smiles, and kind words your child has shared with us.

Thank you for supporting our efforts. Thank you for your emails, phone call, and notes. Thank you for always keeping us informed on changes in schedule, behavior, family issues and when your child is absent or sick. Thank you for taking the time to talk to us and just stopping by to say hi. Those are special moments we will cherish.

Thank you so much for your support in Community Connections. We are so grateful to have a wonderful group of caring parents. And last but not least thank you for loving your child.  Have a fantastic summer!

CC Feb. Camp

Day 1:  
We wrote kind messages on hearts to give to the Seniors at Heaton Woods. We made a fruit salad for the Montpelier Police Dept. and Montpelier Firefighters. And lastly, we made Free Hugs signs and went downtown to Montpelier to spread the love. 

Day 2: Pet Day
Students donated pet food and toys to Central Vermont Humane Society.  We got to see first hand how important it is to care for a pet. Thank you CVHS for coming and sharing your pets with us.

Community Connections is having a Pet Drive Starting Thursday, Feb.23- Feb.28, 2017.

Please donate a food or a toy. You can drop the item off at the CC classroom at UES.
Donations will feed the pets in Central Vermont Humane Society.
